The Financial Sector in the Politics of Economic Democracy
ABOUT THE LECTURE
The Financial Services Commission is proud to inaugurate the Sir Neville Nicholls Memorial Lecture, an annual lecture series established in honour of Sir Neville Nicholls, the Commission's first Board Chairman, whose leadership and vision helped lay the foundation for financial regulation in Barbados.
Sir Neville Nicholls served as an economist, regional statesman, and distinguished public servant. His contributions to Caribbean economic development and financial governance left an enduring legacy, one that the Commission honours through this lecture series, which will bring together thought leaders to explore the most pressing issues shaping the financial services landscape.
The inaugural lecture takes place as the Commission celebrates its 15th Anniversary, making it a particularly meaningful milestone, a moment to reflect on where we have come from, and to engage seriously with the ideas that will shape where we are going.
