The Financial Services Commission is proud to highlight the participation of our team members, Jaheem Franzua, Economist, and Shari Hope, Regulatory Manager, in the 32nd Annual International Institute for Securities Market Growth and Development hosted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The session, held in Washington, D.C. from April 22 to May 1, 2026, brought together participants from over 50 countries.

The Team’s engagement in technical sessions, policy discussions, and exchanges with international regulators at the event supports the Commission’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regulatory capacity, promote financial stability and advance the development of Barbados’ capital markets.

This experience also aligns with current research being undertaken by our Research Department on the performance of regional stock exchanges, particularly as it relates to market reform and expanding investor reach.
