Enforcement Officer – Legal Services and Enforcement Department
The Financial Services Commission (FSC), is an integrated regulatory body established on April 1, 2011 by virtue of the Financial Services Commission Act (2010). It is charged with the responsibility for supervising and regulating non-bank financial institutions in Barbados, particularly those entities in the insurance, credit union, securities and occupational pensions sectors.
Caribbean Catalyst Inc., on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit suitably qualified talent with the requisite knowledge, skills and attributes for the post of Enforcement Officer – Legal Services and Enforcement Department.
The Role
Reporting to the General Counsel, the Enforcement Officer will be responsible for researching, planning, and preparing investigations and enforcement action against market actors and participants, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations and guidance provided. He/she will prepare comprehensive reports on findings of investigations and relevant conclusions. The Enforcement Officer will review the FSC’s legislation and identify breaches by financial institutions or registrants, providing appropriate recommendations in cases of breaches.
The Ideal Candidate will possess
Bachelor of Law degree and the Legal Education Certification, with two years’ experience as a practising Attorney-at-Law.
